"Who says you have to have short hair to use these? I have long hair, but unfortunately it's thinner than I wish it was. My hair extensions actually add the volume I have been looking for, but look so natural at the same time."

Got the wave, now what to do with it?
Whether you have short or long hair, the “beach wave hair look” is always doable and the way to go. Beach waves are the ultimate cool girl look, so it’s not even a question? What everyone does seem to wonder is, how do I get that classic and chic wavy beach look?
You want your beach wave to look effortless, yet textured. Any color hair can pull off this look, but it depends how you do it. Here are some options:
Using a flat iron can help you accomplish a long beach curl, but keep in mind your own hair type. Usually a flat iron will work perfectly with thin/light hair, but not always for thick/heavy hair. Instead of running the flat iron straight down, try creating an “S” shape with the iron.
Sometimes getting that beach wave look is as simple as spraying some sea salt spray in your hair. It gives off the impression that you just walked out of the ocean and laid out in the sun for about an hour in the best way possible. Simply spray your hair and run your fingers a few times through. Then, your golden. Easy, simple and fool proof!
Any braid will do. Regular, french, and fish tail are just to name a few.
The night before your big date or important interview, simply braid your hair, go to bed and wake up the next morning with beach waves after you take your braid out. If you really want to lock in the waves, clamp a flat iron down the braid to encourage your hair to remember the shape!
This is always an awesome option for any hair type, but preferably for thick to heavy hair. Plus, one of our fave hair inspirations, Reese Witherspoon, recently made the hair curlers technique totally modern, chic and !
Depending on what width of hair curler you have, you’ll be able to create the level of “bounciness” you prefer. A wider curler will create more of a loose wave, while a smaller width will create a more defined curl that could potentially last longer throughout the day, as it will naturally fall and loosen.
Add in some mouse to unwind the curls a bit to settle them down.
Live by the ocean? Go hop in! This is a cheap and fun way to get that beach wave look, plus you can get your hair lightened naturally by the sun if you lay out after. The best of both worlds!
Alright, so now that you have hopefully mastered the beachy waves look, what’s next? This is a simple solution and answer. Pretty much anything.
